Day 01: Arrival Bagdogra/New JalpaiguriOn arrival in Bagdogra/railway station in New Jalpaiguri, you will be received and transferred to your hotel in Phuntsholing. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 02 : ThimphuProceed to Thimphu after breakfast. Thimphu is approximately 4 hours drive from Phuntsholing. En route, visit the Karbandi Gompa to get a view of Phuntsholing. On the way, stop the journey to see and feel the scenery. On arrival in Thimphu, check in hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 03 : Explore ThimphuThe day will begin with Thimphu city tour visiting the Buddha Point, Motithang mini zoo, National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum and Tashichodzong. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 04 : Drive to PunakhaDrive to Punakha after breakfast with a stop at Dochula Pass located about 30 km away from the capital Thimphu. At Dochula you can see spectacular view of the Himalayas mountain ranges. On a clear day, the highest mountain in the world Mt.Gangkhar Puensum is also visible from this pass. One of the spectacular weather most travelers enjoy is during the monsoon season. Enroute, Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park – The park contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and features a huge species of plants.
Post lunch visit Chimi Lhakhang which is a short hike on a round hillock just 20 to 30 minutes walk through flat paddy fields and gentle slope with local villages around. The temple is also popularly known to be the fertility temple among many and is frequented by childless couples and others alike for blessings. It is located approximately 2 hours drive north east of Thimphu. After the visit, check in hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 05 : Punakha SightseeingAfter breakfast visit Punakha Dzong a 17th century fortress at the juncture of two major rivers, the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu. It is also the most beautiful of all the Dzongs in Bhutan. It served as the capital of the country from 1637 to 1907 and the first national assembly was hosted here in 1953. It is also a popular destination to visit throughout the year offering breath taking views and monuments with the heritage of the country. Later visit the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorte built for the well being of the kingdom, its people and all sentient beings. It takes about 45 minutes uphill walk through the rice fields. After lunch drive back to Thimphu and on arrival check in hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 06 : Thimphu-PhuentsholingAfter breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 07 : DepartureAfter breakfast check out from the hotel and take the departure transfer to NJP Railway Station / Airport for your onward journey.
